Milan Furniture Fair is the the largest and indisputably best exhibition of its kind in the world. The Salone showcases the latest in furniture, design and lighting.
More than 300,000 visitors are expected to attend from over 165 different nations.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile was founded in 1961 as a vehicle for promoting Italian furniture and furnishings exports and soon became the most awaited event in the world of furniture.
Each year designers, architects, makers and buyers gather in Milan from all corners of the globe for this event. During the Milan Design Week, the city itself transforms into a vessel for all that is new in design, with almost every urban inch turned into an exhibition space.

Actually, solaarte.com wants to thank Vismara to host our featured artist, Anna Santinello during the Salone del Mobile.
Anna Santinello’s works are currentyly displayed at Palazzo Marino (Milan city hall).
The exhibition “Donne Spezzate” is part of the several initiatives dedicated to women for the entire month of March. It is opened to the public until March 22 and consists of four steel wire sculptures, which represent the artist’s reflections about the violence against women. Three of these are beeing exhibited in the courtyard of the City hall, while the other one is shown in the Sala of the Tempere.
